About Sarah

Qualified, accredited and experienced — here to support you

I am a qualified, accredited and experienced therapeutic counsellor, working with an integrative approach within the ethical framework of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am warm, compassionate and neurodivergence affirming.

Sarah Bachra counsellor profile

My approach

I have over ten years' experience supporting adults through grief, bereavement, life-limiting illness, and a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, identity, neurodiversity, and relationship difficulties.

I combine extensive specialist training in grief and bereavement with person-centred practice and evidence-based approaches such as Transactional Analysis and DBT to provide tailored, empathetic support that meets each client's individual needs.

I am committed to delivering sensitive, high-quality care while supporting patients, families, and fellow professionals through complex and life-changing circumstances.

You are not defined by an issue or a condition label — our focus will be your individuality and wellbeing.

What I believe

The values I bring to every session

Warmth

Every person who comes to me deserves to feel genuinely heard, held and safe — not processed or judged.  Warmth and lack of judgement will always be available, humour will often be appropriate too...

Individuality

You are not defined by a diagnosis or a label. Our work together will be about your unique experience and identity.

Neurodivergence affirming

I offer a fully affirming space for neurodivergent clients, respecting different ways of thinking, feeling and communicating.

Ethical practice

I work within the BACP Ethical Framework and am committed to ongoing supervision, CPD and reflective practice.

I have felt heard, held, safe and seen throughout my sessions with Sarah. They are teaching me how to swim (metaphorically!) by giving me a rubber ring of confidence.
